A simple villager (Jeeva) goes to Chennai in search of a job. The lights and sounds of the city do little to influence him, and he remains gullible and a simpleton as he was earlier. A chance encounter with some goons changes his life, as he becomes a witness to a gruesome murder. For some reason he doesn`t report the incident to the police, nor does he get any sleep. But his woes don`t end there. The goons are out to get him.
