What kind of scenes in a horror film scares you the most? When a ghost appears totally unexpectedly? When the main character does not see the ghost sneaking up behind him? When at the very end you find out that the main character was actually a ghost all along? But none of this compares to the feeling of arriving home alone and suddenly being stuck by a feeling of deja-vu that you are reenacting the very same scenes in the horror movie you just saw!

Program na winyan akat (2008) Reviews
Pretty original horror movie with some pretty decent scares
Coming soon is about a guy who works at a theater who makes a side living off of pirating movies. He starts to pirate a horror movie that just came out and weird things starts happening in his life. You later find out why it starts to happen to him. I Don't wanna spoil it by saying why it happens. Although the surprise and reason is pretty cool All in all it was pretty original and well done the idea is definitely not something i think has been done in a horror movie before which is why it is definitely worth watching. Some pretty well done scares happen in this one and with the movie not being overly long and straight to the point and not dragged out only adds to why its great. Although not a groundbreaking and revolutionary scary movie it stands out to me as a solid well done horror movie that should scare the average movie watcher pretty well. Definitely worth checking out
Great Thai Horror
Fortunate for me, Pattaya shows movies with English subtitles... Thai customs makes Ghosts scarier than any other horror imaginable. For a westerner to take concept of this shows the ability of this film to give a plausible atmosphere to sustain belief in the fantasy presented - which was done well. There are some humorous notes to offset the frightening scenes (as all horror films possess), but enough scare factor to keep you on the edge of your seat. Personally I liked the ending; it was a little unexpected... And if you saw movies like the original "The Eye" or "The Eye 2" or "The Eye 10" then you probably would too!
Not perfect
The Thai horror movie industry appears to be flourishing these days, Shutter, Alone, Coffin, 4bia...It has spawned a respectable number of productions, though not all are created equally scary. "Coming soon," which was released in 2008, starts off with an advanced screening of a horror flick having the same name (Coming Soon). As a marketing gimmick to draw in more audience, the movie comes with the claim that it is based on a true story. However, much to the dismay of those who saw the film the creepy effect lingers long after the viewing, because everyone who watches it mysteriously dies and the bodies somehow are transported into the movie itself. Former boyfriend and girlfriend Chen and Peoll, also protagonists in this movie, inevitably become entangled and are persistently haunted by a vengeful ghost. To avoid looming death, the two set out to find the true story behind the making of "Coming Soon." From there the tension continuously builds, climaxing when the truth is finally revealed. The ghost's makeup is designed to have an all-around repelling effect, compounding the baleful venomous stare with an thoroughly dirty look. If one is not scared, then one is nauseated by the suspicious yellow chemical that coats the ghost's body. The turn off is effective either way. And I am very serious about the atmosphere being spooky. It will make your heart pound. At this point, I would almost say "Coming Soon" is a fine movie. Alas no, it was a good horror until the last 30 seconds. Then it crashed. Since I don't want to ruin the fun for those who stumble upon this review, I shall conclude with this advice for the director: More is not always better; stalking sometimes is creepier than a direct confrontation.
What are you waiting for go and watch it now!
The start of this movie is really dark as a Crazy women who kidnaps kids pulls there eye out and as little girl tries to escape , then there parents come and they finds out what she did to their kids and and beat the old lady and they hang her, then it turns out to be movie that people are watching in a cinema. One of the work goes back to cinema late night, so he friend could record the movie and sell the movie before it get released however anyone who sees the end of the movie, strange things start to happen in the cinema. This movie had great story and some really good turns in the story I didn't not see coming, there was some scenes that made me JUMP!, while I still getting of that scare and other scene that made me scream (I must be getting old lol ) as I was not ready for that scare. This movie can be confusing near the end but it dose kind of make sense, The acting from everyone in this movie is great, also I like the fact it's a short movie and it never gets boring. If you like Midnight movie (2008) I liked it, it was fun, you will really like this movie as it so much better and a lot more creepy then Midnight movie (2008). I going give this movie 8 out 10
This one deserves a 6!
I always say that if it is not that great, nor bad, it goes perfectly in the middle, so 5 it is! But Coming Soon did try to surpass its condition, therefore, I'll show my appreciation giving it a solid 6! Why? Because I had fun watching it, some good horror elements, good use of the audio, an ending harder to anticipate than usual, overall, a nice time in front of the screen! So I wont give you any hints, with the exception of "Try It!" and thank me later, Coming Soon, may not be something everyone heard of, but it does not make it any less better than most such productions. Underrated, underground, unheard, does not translate into bad! Watch it, works perfectly for a night late horror! Cheers!
