Engaging, Realistic, Meaningful
I have just seen this at a screening for the Boston Jewish Film Festival. Even though it was the opening night festival film and was very well received, I hesitated to go because of the low IMDb rating. Hurrah that I forged ahead. This was a very realistic, non-Hollywood production with an excellent script that kept my attention from start to end. The actors WERE their characters; they were that transparent.Pain, angst, stubborn independence, and a deep yearning are what the two lead women share, and they build a friendship of trust and mutual support that enables them to grow stronger and make significant steps in their lives. THAT was really neat to be part of.
