After waiting a long time for her lost lover to return, Mina comes to believe he is expecting her in a foreign land. Unable to wait anymore, Mina decides to take a leap of faith and begins a journey through the mountains; though the road she takes is not an easy one, her love for him keeps her going. She is aided in her quest by Goana, a kindly old woman, who helps her to overcome the difficulties in her path, and a mutual bond soon forms between them in this bittersweet love story.
