Dhoni is directed by the debut director Prakash Raj. The story bring out the feeling of a 14 year boy karthik, son of Subramaniam. Karthik is crazy about cricket and his inspiration is MS Dhoni and so the Nassar his coach identifies his potential and encourages him. Subramaniam is a government employee and wishes his son to excel in his studies. But problems will arise when he is not doing well at studies and is pressurized by principal and his father. Thus, the movie is completely concentrates over the social concerns and education system leaving a good message.
