a forth sequel no one asked for! >:(
It's not s bad as the third,but still stupid. Besides,who even finds the Chipmunks funny and memorable. They are infamous. Anyway,the story line is too bland,the characters are still acting like they are on acid.but Eleanor has her voice actor changed,which is more annoying! Do you even call this a film that is not as bad as the one about the shipwreck.well this film should get a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. We did see some famous songs,but this has gone down hill.i wish 20th century fox learned not to give the Chipmunks sequels.but thank got it didn't make the company go bankrupt P.s:if kids like it,then show then the original cartoons or if you want to see a kids film or don't waste your money.

I can not believe how this great family movie is so underrated despite the fact it is a terrific movie. Me and my dear son Muhammad enjoyed watching this perfect family movie from the beginning to the end. The low ratings does not clearly prove that the film is bad.Also,the negative comments by movie critics and IMDb critics don't necessarily mean that this movie is bad at all. It is important to tell you that this film: "Alvin and The Chipmunks:The Road Chip" is currently achieving enormous international success at the movie box office. In the USA,it is a new entry at number 2 and elsewhere,it is number 1.(This is a very good evidence that despite the low rating,the movie is successful ). Finally,I advise every person whether an adult or a child who want a fantastic comedy/adventure movie is to see this movie and you will be quite happy.
The best the producers could make!
I am a fan of Alvin and the Chipmunks since 2013. This is a review from my heart. I really loved the movie. For it is the best of the four movies. The movie is funny, have a wonderful songs and a great story. However there are two things I disliked. All right, I understand why the Chipettes' role was smaller, but why it had to be in that way? The second thing I disliked on the movie was the lack of affection between Simon and Jeanette, I understand that they had a movie for them (Chipwrecked), but the producers could had put something like Simon calling Jeanette during his trip. I love them so much ! Anyway, the movie is perfect and it worths the money!
About what you'd expect
These films based on cartoons are not works of art, but they never try to be. For anybody that loves an Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon, we'll probably enjoy this like you where entertained by the first three. The Chipmunks have a misadventure like road trip. I don't want to give to much away. This is just a fun ride, nothing more, it just a film to sit and watch and forget about your problems. Now Jason Lee as Dave looks like he only got five hours of sleep, kind of have the feel he doesn't want to be there. Tony Hale has some the funniest moments has a marshal chasing the chipmunks, he has a Steve Martin like thing going for him. It's a cartoon movie nothing more, I like it more than Yoga Bear and Scooby Doo.

When people write that they hate this movie and that it's awful, they seem to forget what this movie tries to do. It's a fun kids movie. I just watched all the now four movies with the chipmunks and I liked each one of them. This franchise has unlimited potential, lovely characters and an original idea. Love the cameos by real stars and their remakes of popular songs. This movie has a bit of a weak plot. They didn't really go on a road trip, they visited a bar in Texas and the rest of their stops we only saw through a short montage with them singing to get money for public transport. but in a kids movie, who cares!? I enjoyed it so much! The song that they sing in the end is so great! Cried man tears ;)
