13th Sign (2011) Reviews
Must see it
I cannot stop thinking about this movie; especially the two main characters. I was very impressed overall as I went to this movie premiere to support a made in Michigan film .. I left with some bloody memories of the disgusting scenes and I think I am now a Mushroomhead fan! Matching this band with a horror movie was a great idea and they seemed to actually be great actors. Very impressed, very bloody also the music used in the movie, the lighting, and the effects were all unusual for a lower budget film I left wondering if it really was a low budget film and I am sure this film has a great future maybe even a cult following. I would certainly watch it again and buy a DVD for myself and my twisted friends to watch!
Horrific...
This movie was blood curdling, and has left me scarred with nightmares since the first scene. I will think twice before ever applying to be on a TV or reality show, the plot was realistic and timely. Creepy, gory and filled with gruesome blood and guts. The first scene is absolutely SICK, but it doesn't stop there. Between the coming 12/21/2012 concerns and the trends in media of 'reality shows' where everyone wants to be a TV star, this movie plot seemed all too real and rooted in our present society. The camera work was superior for a movie with this budget. Several of the actors had break-out first appearances, so this is a chance to see some early stars. If you like horror that is based in 'the possible' and not some form of fiction... if you want to fear evil, true evil... this movie will leave you wondering if it could happen to you? DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE if you can't stand blood, guts and horror!
Worst Movie I've EVER Seen...
Not only is the acting extremely poor, but the storyline is complete crap... The ending... well... thank god it came... was rubbish if I ever saw it! It just ended! The people completed their 13th Sign cult ritual, faded away (horrible effects) and then it's supposed to show that the next time around will happen with this one girl but doesn't explain much... I have a hard time giving a movie a 1 out of 10 but this one for sure deserved it... The concert afterwards was alright, but the movie... worst thing I've EVER SEEN! You can tell from the other reviews that they were probably either in the movie or friends with the people in it (as most of the people in the theatre seemed to be). I wouldn't waste your time on this one, there are plenty of other B movies that are well worth it
I was in it, originally name above title.
If any film fan sees that a movie has TWO directors that means stay away. The first tried his best to work quickly with a low budget and no time. The producer ( talent agent to most of us actors ) was on set every day. A producer should NEVER be on set. They called me "movie guy" when it was time for my scenes because 90% of the "actors" did not know the difference between "Gone With the Wind" & "Gone In 60 Seconds." The most expensive scene, full of guts and real horror and the movie's most expensive FX was left on the cutting room floor by the producer & second director. Bottom line. Was it a 90 minute Mushroomhead video or was it a horror film made in MI during our short 42% film tax incentive with the dopes from Mushroomhead in it? Of course the positive reviews are from our friends and family. The producer? She couldn't tell a horror film from a toilet bowl cleaner.
